Notice that the question is asking "should" and not "will."
Which film deserves the Oscar, and state why, if you can.
My pick: Atonement
Why? Many reasons, but primarily, the music (incredible scoring and judicious use of classical selections), and the screenplay - an extremely faithful and vibrant, bigger-than-life adaptation of the novel.
